In 1999, Raleigh's father and son duo Peter and Jamie Popham ran the Bray festival DH. This was one of the largest mtb events ever run in Ireland and it was such a success that they plan to run it again in 2000, along with an IMBRC cross country. The Cork downhill club sent us some pictures for the photo competition. Can these guys go downhill ? The answer is yes - very, very quickly. Can they party - Um Yes! Can they drink, well most of them. To see what I mean give Rory 1 pint and I'm p*ssed O'Keefe a sniff of alcohol and you will be seeing a new definition of drunken lout! - Not a slagging Rory - we are just jealous ya big lug!!
In 2002, the Cycle Inn will be running a year long competition. Over the course of the year we will be urging riders such as yourself(world wide) to email or post us your best MTB photos. In December of 2002 a select group will then judge the best photos of 2002.
